SPECIAL REPORT: changing media & news

I was my intent during my semester abroad to refrain from commenting on things at home. But over the past week there have been some major changes in the news industry that I cannot ignore. Over the past week and a half, we have seen the ends of eras in television, newspaper, and radio. Some of these changes are local, others national, but they all are relevant to the future of how Americans get their news.
