Rochester Gas & Electric made this video in 1963, a year after Midtown opened, as a service to the community.

For nearly fifty years, Midtown Plaza has stood at the center of downtown Rochester, NY. It was announced in October that the 6 building complex will be torn down. On Saturday, December 1, thousands of people came to say goodbye to the last Christmas celebration at at Midtown. Here are some pictures of the event.
